Do audiences automatically think the more drums a drummer has the better the drummer is? Or are they more impressed by players who can really dig in and light up a one-up one-down? For me as a drummer more flair on less drums is as good as it gets. Certainly a portion of any audience will too, but I suspect the majority equate more tom toms with more talent and can't help but note the wear and tear Mr. Benek put on those DWs in only two minutes.

Doesn't matter whose drums Patrik demos, he's got chops for days. Elsewhere on Drumcenter-cz I saw someone compare him to Billy Cobham. I'd never thought about it before but concluded it a fair and accurate comparison. He blazes through rudiments at 200 bpm like Cobham, but he can speed them up.

There's not a drumset on the planet Patrik Benek can't make sound good. And a good drumset even better. I've owned two Mapex sets and can only say good things about their sound and quality. But I'm not fond of 16/18/20 inch depths on modern bass drums, make all you want, but have a 14" option too.

It's been a good kit worth the money can open up and be a good space saving practice kit and of course gigging kit for certain gigs

I love the split kit idea of having one set of drums that works for jazz tunings (small straight ahead kit with 18” kick drum), rock tunings (large kick drum with larger toms), or one huge mega kit for fusion drumming 😂

Snare side head is nowhere tight enough.

THIS guy is one SIck player. That kick drum sounds MAMMOTH.

The 10" sounds dead.. Then the 14" sounds like its tuned too high. Not sure on the toms on this Starclassic kit. Hard to find a kit these days.

Using a Tam iron cobra 600 pedal on the same kit. A bit of over kill. Should I get a drum riser
